Built in 1970 in beautiful village, where most children come from prosperous homes from surrounding area and further afield; extension in 1993 provided two extra junior classrooms; infants' extension added in 1996; further classroom added in 2004; outdoor classroom completed in 2006. Well-equipped, with small networked IT suite; large hard play area, playing field and grounds, including designated conservation area. All children from reception are taught Welsh as second language. Music is a 'strength'. Pupils can learn keyboards, guitar, recorder, brass, violin and woodwind and there is an active choir. Sports include swimming, rugby, netball, cricket, hockey and football. A 'Kids' Club' in nearby village hall. Over-subscribed, with 1.3 applications per place. Basic Skills Quality Mark (2004); Investor in People status (2001, 2004). Ethos: 'One of the school's foremost aims is to provide a Christian education in accordance with the rites, ceremonies and doctrines of the Church in Wales'.
