The school was founded in 1873 in the village of Pendoylan. In this school three classrooms were built in 1997 and three additional classes were later added. The existing Pendoylan Church in Wales Primary School opened in 1999 and is located in grounds with a large playing field. There are strong links with the church, community and local businesses. The parents and friends group raises substantial funds for additional resources. Tuition is offered for piano, woodwind, guitar, violin, brass and voice. The school provides high quality education for its pupils in a caring and supportive ethos.
